Jimmy Bell

Ham Lake, MN

    Nickname

    Jimmy

Describe the day you learned to fish & who taught you

Learned from my father.  We had a cabin on MilleLac’s lake and I had three brothers that always got motion sick, so I got to go all the time, oh happy days.

    Your proudest fishing accomplishment

1999 Professional Angler of the Year & 1994 Professional Rookie of the Year

    Favorite fishing spot

Any place the fish bite and fight.

    Favorite fishing tactic/technique

Fishing the extremes, extreme shallow or deep water.

What is the funniest fishing story you have experienced or witnessed

During a PWT event on Devils Lake I had walked my co-angler through proper netting techniques. While netting his fish I did not follow my own advice and ended up in the water with the fish in the net as the boat kept going.  It is not easy swimming with a net and a fish where you cannot use your hands.  He was laughing so hard it took him a while to react.

    Country or Rock-n-Roll

    Country, hands down!

    Favorite Food

    I'm a meat & potatoes guy.
