I am really interested in getting this side imaging. Are you able to download information into a PC through USB? Posted by: Ron Gammons ( Email: ) at 4/23/2008 9:05 PM

Most current PCs contain image viewing software so you should not require any additional software. Posted by: Kathy Dutton - MEG ( Email: ) at 5/27/2008 9:21 AM

Information can’t be directly downloaded from the side imaging units to a PC. The following options are available on the side imaging units:
Screen Snapshot To use this feature a SD card must be installed in the card slot on the front of the unit. Go into the MENU system under the ACCESSORY tab and turn the SCREEN SNAPSHOT to ON. You can refer to the owner’s manual for these instructions as well. The SCREEN SNAPSHOT feature takes an iamage of the screen that is being viewed and stores that image on the SD card. To take a SCREEN SNAPSHOT simply press the MARK button when you want to take a SNAPSHOT. While the SD card is in the cardslot you can review the images by going to the IMAGES screen or you can remove the SD card and view or store images on a PC.
Recordings You can also place a SD card in the unit and make recordings of areas. The length that you can record is dependent on the storage size of the selected SD card. These recordings can be replayed on the unit. Humminbird doesn’t provide software to view the recordings directly on a PC; however, you can use various conversion programs that are available from other sources.
