My boat icon and track are not aligned or are disconnected. What can I do?
1. You must decide if you want to save the current track.
2. If you want to save the current track then simply press the MENU button when in the GPS screen and select SAVE CURRENT TRACK. If you do not care about saving the current track proceed to step 3.
3. Press the MENU button when in the GPS screen and select CLEAR CURRENT TRACK. Once you clear the current track the boat will immediately realign with the track.
Why is this happening?
The units have 50,000 trackpoints per track. When the unit uses up all of these 50,000 trackpoints it begins to erase the oldest trackpoint in the track and create a new one. This is the way it is supposed to work. The fact that when the 50,000 trackpoints are used up the boat icon and track mis-align is a bug in the software that will be fixed as soon as possible.If this does not solve your problem, we would need a recording of this problem and the recordings should be emailed to us at service@humminbird.com or call us a 1-800-633-1468.
