I am having problems plugging in or removing the connectors of my power cable and/or transducer from my ICE fishing system what should I do?
The connections on these units are tight by design so that they do not become loose during operation. Even though our spec tolerances between our various vendors for these parts are very low, occassionally you can have some cables that are either difficult to insert into the connectors on the back of your unit or difficult to remove once they have been inserted. Using a silicone grease, which can be purchased from an automotive or hardware store, can reduce the friction which causes this problem. In addition, if you have this problem when removing the cables, make sure that you have not had a situation where the unit has any ice build up on or near those connectors. If the connectors are frozen in place, you may want to make sure you wait until they have had time to thaw before attempting to remove.
