Regional Sales Manager - Europe

Plans, implements and evaluates regional sales programs and is responsible for achieving defined sales and profit goals. Provides leadership to independent sales representatives and manages distributor sales and relationships. Oversees and manages sales forecasting, and partners with senior management and other sales teams to optimize efficiencies of scale and capitalize on successful planning and marketing programs.

Knowledge and Skills Needed

Advanced sales skills and the ability to develop and implement profitable new sales programs and procedures.
Ability to work with multiple product lines and sales distribution channels.
Proven sales performance, regularly meeting and exceeding sales objectives. Demonstrated success growing sales and market share.
Strong marketing and merchandising skills.
Strong understanding of customer, market dynamics and requirements. Advanced networking skills and ability to develop productive and strategic relationships.
Advanced knowledge and skills in performing market analyses to identify profitable growth opportunities, forecasting sales, developing and implementing sales plans to profitability grow revenue.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to effectively lead a highly skilled, motivated, successful and results-oriented sales force.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to effectively communicate with internal teams as well customers or distributors. Superior presentation and public speaking skills. Excellent communication skills in both English and other languages as defined by the region.
Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Proven track record in making recommendations and/or improving processes that result in increased performance.
Willingness to travel and work as part of a global team of professionals.
Proficient in English


Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or equivalent.


Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of field sales within a manufacturing environment which includes experiences managing and/or leading sales teams or channel sales.
Past Sales Experience in Marine or Fishing equipment a plus.
Previous experience with a Pan-European distribution network is a plus

This position is based in Europe.  This position will also represent the Minn Kota Motors and Cannon Downrigger brands.
